This game was for the Bradley University Kaboom! Game Jam 2025. It was a 4 person team of all programmers, but everyone also had their own side-discipline as well, mine being music.
We came up with a few ideas for this game, but we ended up sticking with the idea of throwing a canary in the mines in order to check for gas and not die. To incorporate the stone in the saying, we made the goal to find THE STONE.
For music, I was going for something unsettling yet a bop. The idea behind it was that when you killed Carrie for the first time, you would feel your actions. It is also possible to beat the game without killing Carrie, although you'd have to memorize where the gas spots were.
As for programming, I mainly did the mining mechanics, and I also fixed Carrie's movement when returning back to Perrin, and learned the consequences of multiple people being in a project.
This was a fun project to work on, and was my first actual team project in an actual video game.
