This game was made for my first semester at Bradley University, where we had to make a 2D platformer for the final project. My idea for this project was to have a character who couldn't jump and had to utilize other means of movement to travel around each level, specifically the Force Gun and the Grapple Hook, both of which were mechanics that allowed the player generate and keep momentum in order to move fast.
Audio-wise, I chose to add voice acting into the game, and used Garageband to edit my voice and apply filters to sound more robotic. It was also the first time I used Logic Pro, as beforehand I was solely using Garageband for my music. Logic allowed me to apply new effects (such as the ability to pitch bend) in my music through automation, which I utilized in the main song "Facility".
This project was extremely fun to work on, and was a great way to learn how to use Unity. For this game, a lot of the key takeaways were from working with physics, especially forces, raycasting, and fixed joints.
This project is also one of the few where I have a web build. If you would like to try the game, it can be played down below!
